It Is What It Is.

Sempervirens
by Gonzalo
Ferreyra
Kill me there kindly
and bury me there beside
a mouthless tree
its limbs taller than
other tall trees
its attitude that of
a god, neither dismayed nor
angry but certainly
self-assured
and leave me there and say
goodbye
to me there
and visit me there where
I am buried or scatter
my ashes there and say
no prayers
but do me the great favor there
I beg you there I beg you
here
to do the right thing
and forget about me there where
you are
or remember me where
because I am there nestled
among the tallest trees where
I'll remember everything
as if I were there
